Standing Against Your Fears has been released in the major markets of the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Other digital music stores like Amazon and Rhapsody also feature Almost Friday in their global markets.

The band is very excited to share their music with a global audience and look forward to their future album projects.

2012, a New Album and New Addition

Almost Friday has entered 2012 with the release of "Standing Against Your Fears". The album features 6 songs that hit you as straight forward driving rock n roll. It took the band a little over 8 months to arrange, produce and record these latest songs. After months of recording, it is time for the band to begin work on new original material and hit the stage once again. The first contracted show has been set for Friday night, March 9th at the Triangle in Salem. New for 2012, Almost Friday and RYFO productions have contracted Mr. Aaron Carter as their new Sound and Light technician to bring an explosive edge to the stage show. Aaron has been working with the band for over a month now and is proving to be an integral part of the line up.
As always, Almost Friday is excited for live play once again and continues to bring original songs to their main street style.

Studio work on upcoming EP

Almost Friday is hard at work in the recording studio putting together tracks for the much anticipated release of thier newest EP. Songs selected for the new "untitled" EP are Candles, Run, End of Forever, Beautiful, Falling Down and Your World (Your High). Pictured above is Rod working the control panel, while Dave prepares to put down a Bass track. Also pictured is Steve waiting between recordings as he fine tunes all the rhythm tracks. The band will provide the EP name at a later date.

Almost Friday's Time Away for a Wedding

Almost Friday had taken a little over a month off from performing and finishing the current album in the studio, so our drummer could get married. On May 20th Almost Friday drummer, Chuck Kovitch married his beautiful bride, Lenora. At the reception Rod, Steve and Dave performed an acoustic trio for the new couple. A few of the band's original rock songs were transformed into acoustic ballad's and have now given the band a future idea of recording an acoustic album. We want to wish the new couple a happy future, but it is now time to get back to music and the updates of the band.

Triangle Update

Last Saturday night, April 16th after nearly a six month absence from the live stage Almost Friday rocked the Triangle. Another local band from Salem, Groove Thief opened the show and performed 12 of thier songs. We thanked Groove Thief a few times for sharing the stage with us, but wanted to take this opportunity to thank them again in this format. Groove Thief rocks and they are also a bunch of really great guys.
Almost Friday took the stage around 9:30 pm and rocked an 18 song set list and a 2 song encore request from the crowd. Pictured above is the band at the very start of the show during their new instrumental song, American Standard.
Kim Cannon, wife of Almost Friday Guitarist Steve Cannon is the official photographer of the band. She works hard through every show to shoot the band and document all of our work.
Almost Friday dedicated the Triangle show to the brave men and women of HHC and A FSC 1249th Engineers of the Oregon Army National Guard currently serving in Afghanistan.

Loading for a show

The real work. Everyone that comes to a show is treated to a night filled with great music. However, getting to that stage wherever it may be takes the hard work of breaking down equipment at the practice facility, loading it, setting the stage, breaking it down and returning it to the practice facilty. Alot of hard work and muscle goes into putting on a great rock show. Pictured is Rod making sure the load plan all fits inside the Almost Friday trailer. Total man hours that it took to put on the show last night at the Triangle was a little more than 10 hours for a 2 hour show. Stay tuned for details on the Triangle show.

Finishing Touches

Tonight, the finishing touches were completed for the Triangle show tomorrow night. An average Friday night practice goes for a little over 5 hours. Tonight we focused our efforts on ensuring the sound levels and mix was favorable to all the guys. We ran through the Triangle set list once and was able to clean up a few things, allowing the band to get in and get out of the practice facility within a few hours. After a lay off to focus on writing, producing and recording new material we are all very excited to take the stage again and get back to performing live.

Thursday Night Lights

The band hard at work on Thursday night in preparation for the upcoming Saturday night show at the Triangle. A few hours work was dedicated on the set list tonight and we ran back over a couple of songs that we wanted to tighten up. Along with the work that goes into preparing for the show, the band is also hard at work in the recording studio trying to put the finishing touches on the next album. The work never ends, as we head back to our practice facility tomorrow night. We have some arrangment tweaking we want to work through. And we never complain about the hard work.

The Triangle Set List is finalized

The Home Lines passes 20,500 YouTube views

The Home Lines was written, produced, recorded and performed by Almost Friday. The Home Lines is dedicated to all Spouses of military servicemembers for thier dedication and sacrifices. Almost Friday continues the strong support it has for the Armed Forces. Three of the band's four members are Active Duty service members.

Almost Friday to appear at the Triangle
